HOT IN NYC ::80's Redux:: Just a mix of VINTAGE

As we witness the 80's slowly return to our closets, especially for fall, lets not run to our old storage bins just yet. We see a refined 80's glam and 80's strong shoulder 'working girl', a fierce yet sleek tailored redux. Metallics are heavy on the two tones, grayish golds and monochromatic gunmetal to silver tones, with black regaining its status as the new black. Want color? Bring back the hunter greens and cherry reds, hot pinks and sexy turquoise. Prepare yourself for slinky leather fabrics, lace with bows and ruffles, oversized jewelry, no teased hair necessary. Our favorite ad so far for the fall is BEBE with what we call the 'Wendy and Lisa' (think Prince) inspired turquoise puff sleeve jackets. Remember, EXCESS; yes its fabulous, but do it right. The latest copies of Elle and Vogue are full of the latest looks that will be inundating the streets of New York very soon.

That said, there are still many vintage pieces dying to be worn again. We searched for timeless and fun, embellished but sleek designs that can easily mix into new collections in stores today. For our search for fun 80's vintage we turn to Etsy, home to many vintage shops catering to the masses of vintage treasure seekers, recyclers, budget conscious fashion addicts, and more. In our search we came across tractordog, based in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Here are our glam favorites from tractordog:

This shop holds a mass of treasures for the hottest trends in boho, mod, disco, glam and other classic fashions. For other favorite 80's vintage to have fun with this fall visit our Etsy Favorites page. Lets have fun with this trend.
